- 1811 Jan. 31, an Act by the General Assembly of the State of KY. on
the petition by John Francis and Richard Slavey for a 1000 acre grant in
Wayne Co., KY. for the purpose of mining salt. Grant approved by this act.

- 1811 Feb. 5, from the KY. Gazette, Richard Slavey mentioned in an article
about a list of Acts by the KY. Legislature in context of salt works and
the 1000 acre grant.
- 1814 Dec.22, an Act by the General Assembly of the State of KY. on
the matter of the Act of Jan. 31, 1811 granting John Francis and Richard
Slavey 1000 acres for salt production, states that due to the fact that
one of the principle persons interested in the business in the army of
the U. S., said Francis and Slavey are granted an extension on the amount
of time given in original act for producing specified amount of salt. (Taken

- 1817 Jan. 3, an Act by the General Assembly of the State of KY. on
the acts of Jan 31 1811 and Dec 22 1814, involving John Francis and Richard
Slavey. While progress has been made in drilling a further extension of
